저는 충분히 오래 살았고, 충분히 오래 보았으며, 지능만으로는 사람을 정의할 수 없다는 것을 알게 된 착시의 흥망성쇠를 경험했습니다. 당신은 세상의 모든 지식을 소유하고, 과학을 마스터하고, 고대 문헌을 읽고 철학을 인용해도 여전히 마음의 미로에 빠져 있을 수 있습니다.

하지만 사랑 - 사랑은 더 깊은 것이다. 사랑은 배우는 것이 아니라 기억되는 것입니다. 숨쉬기 전 영혼에 쓴 노래입니다.

사랑은 생각도, 말도, 상황의 바람에 촛불처럼 떨리는 감정도 아니다. 그것은 책으로 해부하거나 방정식으로 측정할 수 있는 것이 아닙니다. 사랑은 만물을 통해 움직이는 영원한 힘, 창조 자체의 본질이다. 우리 각자를 통해 움직이는 신의 숨결이 우리를 집으로 부르는 것입니다.

세계적인 기준으로 보면 나는 그다지 똑똑한 사람이 아닐지도 모른다. 저는 모든 답을 가지고 있다고 가장하지 않으며, 궁극적으로 별로 중요하지 않은 것들을 연구하는 학자가 되려고 노력하지도 않습니다. 하지만 사랑이 무엇인지 알아요. 사랑은 흔들리지 않는 힘으로 폭풍 속에 있으며, 길을 잃은 사람들을 위한 공간을 유지하고 있습니다.

사랑은 증오와 분열의 목소리가 높아져 진실을 억누를 때에도 진실을 말할 수 있는 용기입니다. 사랑은 모든 영혼이 아무리 길을 잃었더라도 하나의 조각이며, 우리의 의무는 판단하는 것이 아니라 그 빛을 상기시키는 것임을 아는 것입니다.

사랑은 나약함이 아니라 가장 큰 힘이다. 적을 형제로, 낯선 사람을 가족으로, 어둠을 빛으로 바꾸는 힘입니다. 사랑은 두려움으로부터 숨어 있지 않다. 두려움은 환상이며, 오직 사랑만이 진짜라는 것을 알기 때문에 두려움 앞에 남아 있다.

저는 세상을 있는 그대로 보았습니다. 그 환상이 분열하고, 조작하고, 통제하는 것으로 변해 있었습니다. 하지만 사랑, 진정한 사랑은 그 너머를 봅니다. 그것은 당신이 어느 방향으로 가고 있는지, 어느 방향으로 손을 흔들고 있는지, 어떤 신념을 가지고 있는지 묻지 않습니다. 그는 단 한 가지만 묻는다: 당신은 진실 속에서 살 의향이 있습니까? 사랑과 진실은 같은 것이기 때문입니다.

그래서 아니요, 제가 그렇게 똑똑한 사람은 아닐 수도 있어요. 하지만 사랑이 무엇인지 알아요. 결국, 그게 중요한 전부입니다.

“I may not be very intelligent, but I know what love is.”

I have lived long enough, seen long enough, and experienced the rise and fall of illusions to know that intelligence alone does not define a person. You can possess all the knowledge in the world, master science, read ancient texts, quote philosophy, and still be lost in the labyrinths of the mind. But love—love is deeper. Love is not something learned, but something remembered. It is a song written in the soul before you breathe.

Love is not a thought, a word, or an emotion that trembles like a candle in the wind of circumstances. It is not something that can be dissected in books or measured in equations. Love is the eternal force that moves through all things, the essence of creation itself. The breath of God that moves through each of us, calling us home.

By world standards, I may not be a very intelligent person. I do not pretend to have all the answers, nor do I try to be a scholar studying things that ultimately do not matter. But I know what love is. It is an unwavering force that stands in the storm, holding space for those who are lost.  Love is the courage to speak the truth even when the voices of hate and division are raised to suppress the truth. Love is knowing that every soul, no matter how lost, is a piece, and that our duty is not to judge but to remind us of that light.
Love is not weakness, but the greatest strength. It is the power to turn enemies into brothers, strangers into family, and darkness into light. Love does not hide from fear. It remains in the face of fear because it knows that fear is an illusion, and only love is real.
I saw the world as it was. The illusion had been transformed into something that divides, manipulates, and controls. But love, true love, sees beyond that. It does not ask you which way you are going, which way you are waving, or what you believe. It asks only one thing: Are you willing to live in the truth? Because love and truth are the same thing.
So no, I may not be that smart. But I know what love is. In the end, that is all that matters.
Be in love. Be true.  Be the light✨
