Moody's has downgraded the US credit rating outlook from “stable” to "negative," citing concerns about large fiscal deficits and a decline in debt affordability, a move criticized by the Biden administration.
As a result of the downgrade, the Credit Default Swap (CDS) price, a measure of perceived credit risk by the US government, reached its highest level since 2022 COVID-19 related price peak.
