Imagine you were part of an Indiginous Tribe in North America 1000 years ago. You would've had a connection to the Earth that nobody in North America has today. You would've had a connection to the spirit world that, to most people today, seems primitive and silly. You might have even had contact with sky gods. To you, it would've been real, it was your reality.
Today, your reality might be, after birth, the government injects you with many vaccinations, then you are taken care of by strangers until you reach the age that the government can put you in school and indoctrinate you on how to be a good productive citizen. As soon as you become an adult, you are given many options to start accumulating debt. To pay that debt you need to dedicate a large portion of your life to a job or career. Then, get married, take on more debt, pay taxes on your taxes, and have children to start the cycle over. Don't worry about enjoying life, you can do that when your old, if you saved enough, and you're in good health. To a Indiginous person 1000 years ago this would sound idiotic but to you, this is real. It's your reality.
