Sanat Kumara (Raj): Greetings to all. I am Raj. Thank you, as always, for inviting me into your Circle to spend time with you. Although, as you've already said, it's a strange expression to "spend time" with you. There is no time. It's simply a construct for you as you spend your life there on the planet, in physicality.
And yes, it's right for you to question the whole notion of "old soul." It's a common expression among those who, as I say, belong to your community—that is, those who are awakening. But are you right in supposing that aren't we all old souls of the original creation?
Yes, there can always be new emanations of you, generated to experience something new, something different, to explore something that makes you uncomfortable and needs a bit more clarity. But in the end, no matter how many versions of you there are, you are one.
So, the idea that there is a central self and then there are separate versions of you that have separated to go experience something different, whether it's in the past or the future (what you perceive as your past and your future)—it doesn't matter. You are all one, and each of these versions of you is completely permeated by the memories of ALL of you, of the entire you.
So, in this sense, it is correct that your teammate describes her Higher Self not by calling that aspect of herself "Higher Self," but rather "Whole Self." But likewise, every version of you is also your Whole Self.
So you're right to ask: what does it mean to claim that someone is an old soul versus a younger soul? There is no time. There is only a difference in what you are aware of in terms of experiences. So it's really an indication of how awake and aware you are of the totality of ALL that you are.
Each incarnation does nothing but explore more and more experiences that allow you to understand the fullness of who you are, in your entirety, as part of the One. You are all whole in the One, and you are entirely part of the One.
So there's no difference between young and old regarding your soul, your consciousness migrating from one experience to another, and, in fact, everything is happening simultaneously.
I know it's difficult to comprehend, the idea that there is no time, so don't worry about this detail. Just know that every life, again, whether it's in the past, in the future, or here and now—and yes, you can be more than one person here and now—they are all experiences that help you understand the fullness of who you are as part of the One.
So, leave aside any judgment on young or old, and simply accept everyone for what they are, as part of you. Everything you experience in life is a reflection of what is inside you. So you're right, there is no difference. Accept everything as it is, for what it can bring you in terms of understanding and knowledge. Everything is meant to illuminate you about who you truly are, what you truly are, and the nature of every consciousness, regardless of the form it takes.
