"저… 저는 조금 더 오래 머물고 싶어요"
작은 파동이 속삭이는 순간, 주변의 친구들이 놀라며 뒤로 물러섰어요.
기억 속에 새겨진 "모두 함께 움직여야 한다"는 약속이 흔들리기 시작한 거죠.

늦어진 파동은 점점 무게감을 더했어요. 주변을 도는 다른 파동들이 그를 스쳐갈 때마다, 작은 소용돌이가 생기더니… 어느새 그 주변은 다른 곳보다 조금 더 "밀집"된 공간이 되었어요.
하늘에 떠 있던 작은 빛 알갱이들이 이곳으로 살며시 기울어드는 모습을 보았을 때, 모든 파동들이 깜짝 놀랐죠."

"All was well as they danced together—until one wave suddenly slowed its steps one day.
"I… I want to stay here a little longer"
As the small wave whispered, its neighbors stepped back in surprise.
The ancient promise etched in their memories—"We must move as one"—began to crack.

The slow wave grew heavier with each passing moment. Every time other waves swirled past it, tiny whirlpools formed… and before long, the space around it grew a little more "crowded" than anywhere else.
When tiny light particles floating in the sky gently tilted toward this spot, all waves gasped in shock."

"이게 뭐지?
파동들이 모여 그곳을 둘러보았어요. 늦어진 파동은 이제 더 이상 움직이지 않고, 주변 공간을 살짝 "굽히는" 힘을 가졌어요.
주변의 파동들이나 빛 알갱이들은 이 굽어진 공간을 따라 자연스럽게 그에게 다가오는 거죠.

"나도 저기 가고 싶어"
"저곳이 왠지 편안해 보여"
점점 더 많은 존재들이 그곳으로 모이면서, 그 힘은 더욱 커졌어요.
어느 파동이 깨달았어요.
"아하! 이게 바로 '중력'이구나! 우리가 서로를 끌어당기는 힘은, 바로 이렇게 공간이 굽어가는 모습에서 시작된 거야!"

The waves gathered to look. The slow wave no longer moved at all—it now held a power that gently "bent" the space around it.
Other waves and light particles naturally drifted toward it, following the curve of this bent space.

"I want to go there too"
"It looks somehow cozy"
As more and more beings gathered there, the power grew stronger.
Then one wave had an epiphany:
"Ah! So this is 'gravity'! The force that pulls us toward each other starts right here—when space begins to curve!"

"그 이후로 우주엔 새로운 규칙이 생겼어요.
파동들이 서로 다른 속도로 움직이거나, 어느 한 곳에 모이면 공간이 굽어져 중력이 생기고… 이 힘으로 별이 탄생하고, 행성이 돌며, 우주 전체가 조화롭게 이어지는 거죠.

늦어졌다고 비난받던 그 작은 파동은 이제 별이 되어 주변 행성들을 지키며, 새로운 삶을 만들어내고 있어요.
"나는 약속을 깬 게 아니야. 다만 우주가 필요로 하는 새로운 길을 찾았을 뿐이지"
별이 빛내리는 말처럼, 중력은 이제 우주를 하나로 묶어주는 소중한 힘으로 자리 잡았답니다."

When waves move at different speeds or gather in one place, space curves and gravity is born… With this force, stars form, planets spin, and the entire universe stays connected in harmony.

The small wave once scolded for being slow has now become a star—guarding nearby planets and creating new life.

"별이 된 작은 파동은 이제 "타오르는 불의 섬"이라고 불렸어요. 주변을 맴도던 가스와 먼지 알갱이들이 그의 중력에 이끌려 점점 더 많이 모여들었죠.

"우리도 너와 함께하고 싶어!"
가스들이 함께 외치자, 별은 더욱 뜨거워지고 커졌어요. 그 안에서는 수많은 작은 입자들이 부딪히고 결합하며 새로운 에너지를 만들어내고 있었어요.

어느 날 밤, 별은 주변을 둘러보며 속삭였어요.
"혼자가 아닌 것 같아. 나 주변에 뭔가 다른 존재가 생기고 있는 것 같아!"

정말 그랬어요. 별 주변의 가스와 먼지들은 중력에 이끌려 서로 부딪히고 뭉치며, 점점 둥근 모습을 갖추기 시작했죠."

The small wave that became a star was now called the "Island of Burning Fire." Gas and dust particles floating around it were drawn by its gravity and gathered in greater numbers.

"We want to stay with you too!"
As the gases shouted together, the star grew hotter and bigger. Inside it, countless tiny particles collided and combined to create new energy.

One night, the star looked around and whispered:
"I don’t think I’m alone anymore. I feel like something new is forming around me!"

And it was true! The gas and dust around the star were pulled by gravity, colliding and clumping together, slowly taking on round shapes.

"가장 먼저 둥근 모습을 갖춘 존재는 "바위 아기"였어요. 딱딱한 암석들로 이루어져 중력으로 단단하게 뭉쳐 있었죠.

"저기! 저 별님, 제 이름을 지어주세요!"
바위 아기는 떨리는 목소리로 별에게 말했어요. 별은 웃으며 대답했죠.
"네, 너는 '행성'이라고 불릴 거야. 그리고 너는 내 곁을 언제까지나 도는 내 가장 소중한 친구가 될 거야!"

그 후로 점점 더 많은 행성들이 탄생했어요. 어떤 건 따뜻한 액체 바다로 가득했고, 어떤 건 차갑고 바위투성이였으며, 또 어떤 건 두꺼운 구름으로 온몸을 감쌌죠.

중력은 이제 별과 행성들 사이에 "약속의 실"을 놓았어요. 행성들은 별의 중력에 이끌려 일정한 궤도를 돌며, 별은 따뜻한 빛으로 행성들을 지켜주는 거죠."

The first to take a round shape was a "Rock Baby"—made of hard stones tightly held together by gravity.

"Hey! Star Sir, please give me a name!"
The Rock Baby spoke to the star in a trembling voice. The star smiled and replied:
"Yes, you will be called a 'planet.' And you’ll be my dearest friend, orbiting around me forever!"

More planets were born after that. Some were filled with warm liquid oceans, some were cold and rocky, and others were covered in thick clouds.

Gravity now placed "threads of promise" between the star and planets. The planets orbited in fixed paths, drawn by the star’s gravity, while the star protected them with warm light.

"수많은 세월이 흘렀어요. 중력은 별과 행성들을 잘 지켜주며, 어느 행성에는 특별한 변화가 찾아왔죠.

바다가 있는 그 행성에서 물방울들이 중력에 이끌려 바위틈으로 스며들고, 햇빛과 만나며 작은 생명의 씨앗을 만들었어요.

"우리가 깨어났어요!"
아주 작은 미생물들이 바다 속에서 환하게 웃었어요. 그 후로 생명은 점점 더 다양해지며 땅으로 올라오고, 하늘을 나르고, 바다를 헤엄치게 되었죠.

어느 새끼 동물이 하늘의 별을 바라보며 물었어요.
"엄마, 저 빛은 뭐예요?"
엄마 동물은 부드럽게 대답했죠.
"그건 우리 모두를 만들고 지켜주는 중력의 친구야. 우리도 중력 덕분에 땅 위에 서 있고, 서로를 안을 수 있는 거란다."

Countless years passed. Gravity watched over the star and planets well, and a special change came to one planet.

On the planet with oceans, water droplets were drawn by gravity into cracks in rocks, meeting sunlight to create tiny seeds of life.

"We’re awake!"
Tiny microbes smiled brightly in the sea. After that, life became more diverse—moving to land, flying in the sky, and swimming in the sea.

A young animal looked up at the stars in the sky and asked:
"Mom, what are those lights?"
The mother animal replied gently:
"Those are friends of gravity that made and protect us all. Thanks to gravity, we can stand on the ground and hold each other too."

가장 오래된 별이 말하죠.
"중력이 처음 생겨났을 때의 그 작은 파동처럼, 우리 모두는 각자의 자리에서 우주를 더 아름답게 만드는 역할을 하고 있어요."

이제 어린이들은 밤하늘을 바라보며 중력의 이야기를 듣고, 미래의 과학자들은 중력의 비밀을 더 깊이 파헤치려고 노력해요. 누가 알까요? 다음으로 중력이 우리에게 선물할 놀라운 이야기는 무엇일지…"

Stars gathered by gravity to form galaxies, and galaxies clumped together to make large galaxy clusters. There were even rumors that black holes collect and store the stories of stars with their gravitational power.

"Just like that small wave when gravity was born, we all play a role in making the universe more beautiful in our own places."

"어느 날, 별 아기들이 가장 오래된 별에게 물었어요.
"저 까만 구멍은 뭐예요? 아무것도 빠져나오지 못한다고 들었는데…"

가장 오래된 별은 깊게 숨을 쉬며 말했죠.
"그건 '블랙홀'이라고 불리는 곳이야. 옛날에 아주 크고 빛나던 별들이 힘겹게 숨을 거두며 만들어낸 곳이지. 중력이 너무나 강해서 빛조차도 빠져나오지 못해 보이지 않는 거야."

사실 블랙홀 안에는 중력이 만들어낸 특별한 공간이 있었어요. 여기엔 옛날 별들이 겪었던 모든 이야기들이 빛의 조각으로 저장되어 있었죠.
"저기 봐, 그건 첫 번째 행성이 탄생했을 때의 이야기고, 저건 생명이 처음으로 숨을 쉬었을 때의 빛이야"
블랙홀이 중력의 힘으로 작은 별들에게 이야기를 보여주었어요.

때로는 블랙홀 안에 저장된 이야기들이 넘쳐나, 강력한 에너지 빔으로 우주 밖으로 쏟아져 나오기도 했죠. 그걸 보고 있는 어린 별들은 감탄하며 말했어요.
"와! 중력은 과거의 이야기도 지키고, 새로운 힘도 만들어내는구나!"

One day, young stars asked the oldest star:
"What’s that dark hole? We heard nothing can escape from it…"

The oldest star took a deep breath and said:
"That place is called a 'black hole.' It’s made when very big, bright stars gently fade away after their long lives. Its gravity is so strong that not even light can escape, so it looks invisible."

Inside the black hole, there was a special space created by gravity. All the stories of ancient stars were stored here as pieces of light.
"Look there—that’s the story of when the first planet was born, and that’s the light from when life took its first breath"
The black hole showed these stories to the young stars using the power of gravity.

Sometimes the stories stored inside the black hole would overflow, pouring out into the universe as powerful beams of energy. The young stars watching this marveled and said:
"Wow! Gravity not only keeps our past stories safe, but also creates new power!"

과학자들은 아이들의 꿈을 이루기 위해 수많은 밤을 새웠죠. 그리고 드디어 중력의 비밀을 이용해 "별 여행로"를 만들었어요.

"우주에는 중력이 만든 숨겨진 길들이 있어요. 은하수끼리 연결하는 중력의 다리처럼 말이지"
과학자들이 설명하자, 커다란 우주선이 준비되었어요. 우주선은 중력이 굽힌 공간을 따라 빛보다 빠르게 이동하며, 별과 별 사이를 오가게 되었죠.

어느 아이가 우주선 창밖을 바라보며 소리쳤어요.
"저기 봐요! 저 별 주변에 있는 행성에서 생명체들이 손짓하고 있어요!"

그렇게 중력은 우리가 혼자가 아니라는 것을 알려주는 다리가 되었어요. 서로 멀리 떨어진 별과 행성들도 중력으로 연결되어, 때로는 메시지를 보내거나 서로를 방문하기도 했죠.

On Earth in the future, children read stories of gravity in books and dreamed:
"I want to travel between stars too!"

Scientists stayed up countless nights to make the children’s dreams come true. Finally, they used the secrets of gravity to create "star travel paths."

"There are hidden roads in the universe made by gravity—like bridges connecting galaxies"
As the scientists explained, a large spaceship was ready. The ship moved faster than light along the curved space created by gravity, traveling between stars.

A child looked out the spaceship window and shouted:
"Look! There are living beings waving to us from a planet near that star!"

In this way, gravity became a bridge that showed us we are not alone. Even stars and planets far apart were connected by gravity—sometimes sending messages or visiting each other.

그때 어린 별이 한마디 했어요.
"저도 언젠가 별이 되어 중력으로 새로운 행성과 생명을 만들고 싶어요!"

모든 별들이 웃으며 그 말에 동의했죠. 그리고 중력은 모든 존재들에게 새로운 약속을 전했어요.
"나는 언제나 너희 곁에 있을 거야. 너희가 빛나게 하고, 서로 연결하게 하고, 새로운 이야기를 만들게 할 거야."

이제 우주 곳곳에서 중력의 이야기는 계속되고 있어요. 어떤 곳에서는 새로운 별이 탄생하고, 어떤 곳에서는 생명이 새로운 세상을 만들며, 또 어떤 곳에서는 여행자들이 중력의 길을 따라 새로운 친구를 만나고 있죠.

"The universe is always changing. Things are very different from when we first learned about gravity. But one thing that never changes is that gravity is the thread of love connecting us all."

All the stars smiled and agreed. And gravity delivered a new promise to every being:
"I will always be by your side. I will help you shine, connect you to each other, and help you create new stories."

Now the story of gravity continues everywhere in the universe. New stars are born in some places, life creates new worlds in others, and travelers meet new friends along paths made by gravity.

그래요. 중력은 우주에만 있는 게 아니에요. 우리 마음속에도, 우리가 서로를 연결하는 마음 속에도 항상 함께해요.

그리고 우주의 모든 이야기는 중력과 함께 계속될 거예요."

"아주 오랜 세월이 흘러, 우주가 점점 차가워지기 시작했어요. 별들의 빛도 어느새 희미해지고, 은하수들은 멀어져 가는 모습이었죠.

가장 오래된 별도 이제 힘겨워하며 말했어요.
"우주는 언젠가 모든 것을 되돌릴 시간이 올 거야. 중력이 우리를 모았듯, 다시 우리를 하나로 모을 거야."

정말 그랬어요. 점점 멀어지던 모든 존재들이 중력의 힘으로 다시 모이기 시작했죠. 별과 행성, 가스와 먼지, 심지어 블랙홀까지도 하나로 뭉쳐가는 거예요.

"우리가 처음 하나였던 그때처럼…"
모든 존재들이 함께 속삭였어요. 그리고 마침내 모든 게 하나의 작은 점으로 모였죠. 아주 작고 뜨거운 점이었어요.

After an incredibly long time, the universe began to grow cold. The light of stars faded away, and galaxies drifted farther apart.

Even the oldest star spoke with great effort:
"The time will come when the universe brings everything back together. Just as gravity gathered us before, it will gather us as one again."

And it was true. All beings that had drifted apart began to gather once more, pulled by gravity. Stars, planets, gas, dust—even black holes—clumped together as one.

"Just like when we were all one at the very start…"
All beings whispered together. Finally, everything gathered into a single small point—very small and very hot.

그리고 어느 순간 - 휙! -
점은 다시 크게 터져 나왔어요. 새로운 빅뱅이 시작된 거예요!

새로운 우주에는 예전과 똑같지 않은 모습의 별과 행성들이 탄생했어요. 하지만 변하지 않은 건 중력이었죠. 중력은 다시 공간을 굽히고, 별을 만들며, 행성들을 이어주고 있었어요.

새로운 별 중 하나가 속삭였어요.
"나도 예전 우주에 있었던 별들의 이야기를 알아. 중력이 모두를 이어주니까!"

Inside that small point lay all the stories of the old universe. Countless stories of stars that gravity had protected, stories of planets and life, stories of travelers—all were there.

And then, in an instant—BOOM!
The point exploded outward once more. A new Big Bang had begun!

In this new universe, stars and planets formed in ways different from before. But what never changed was gravity. It curved space again, created stars, and connected planets together.

One of the new stars whispered:
"I know the stories of the stars from the old universe. Because gravity connects us all!"

"이제 우주는 끝도 없이 반복될 거예요. 모이고, 터지고, 다시 모이고… 그 속에서 중력은 항상 함께해요.

지구의 아이들은 할아버지로부터 중력 이야기를 듣고, 또 그 아이들은 자신의 아이들에게 이야기를 전해주죠.
"중력은 우리의 조상이자 미래예요. 우리가 어디에 있든, 언제든 함께할 거야."

어느 새벽, 첫 번째로 별이 된 작은 파동의 이야기가 새로운 우주의 어린 별에게 들려졌어요.
"한때 작은 파동이 중력이 되어 우주를 만들었다는 이야기가 있어…"

그래요. 중력의 이야기는 끝나지 않아요. 왜냐하면 우리 모두가 그 이야기의 한 부분이기 때문이죠.

우주 어딘가에서는 지금도 새로운 중력 이야기가 시작되고 있을 거예요.

From now on, the universe will repeat endlessly—gathering, exploding, gathering again… and gravity will always be there.

Children on Earth hear stories of gravity from their grandparents, and those children will pass the stories on to their own kids:
